Miesha Tate on Ronda Rousey: Nine times out of 10, wrestling trumps judo
You should know the story by now. Miesha Tate is the Strikeforce women's bantamweight champion and will defend her title at Strikeforce in Columbus on March 3 against Ronda Rousey, an Olympian judo player with just a few fights under her belt. They were all impressive one minute armbar finishes but how much can one glean from so little action?
It's rather simple for Tate -- wrestling beats judo almost every time. Problem solved.

MMA News: Jon Jones Talks Greg Jackson and Rashad Evans
UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and Rashad Evans will settle their long-burning rivalry this April when they meet in the main event of UFC 145.
The two top-tier 205ers had a falling out when Jones stepped up for an injured Evans to challenge for the title and said in an interview that he'd be willing to defend it against Rashad, breaking protocol at Jackson's. This led to a gradual escalation that ended up with Evans forever severing ties with the Greg Jackson camp and a heap of vitriol being spewed back and forth between the two fighters.
Jackson said then that he couldn't and wouldn't corner Jones against Evans and it looks like, despite the bad blood that still exists, he's keeping his word.

Gina Carano gives her thoughts on Miesha Tate vs. Ronda Rousey Strikeforce Title bout
In 2008 and 2009, Gina Carano skyrocketed to fame as the first face of women's mixed martial arts. Her wins on CBS over Kaitlin Young and Kelly Kobold captured the attention of millions, and led to her historic headlining fight with Cris "Cyborg" Santos on Showtime in August of 2009.
Fast forward almost three years, and Strikeforce has another big women's fight headlining a card on March 3. It's not as big as Carano-Santos, but the Miesha Tate vs. Ronda Rousey bout has gotten more attention from MMA fans than perhaps any other women's fight since then.
